World Cup Euro 2024 Qualifying Draw
World Cup Euro, the qualifying groups for Euro 2024 have been set, and some fascinating connections have emerged, like as Italy being placed against England, a side they defeated in the final in 2021. Join us as we uncover which teams will face off in next year’s qualifications at the World Cup Euro.
Although most of the focus is naturally on the World Cup Euro, which begins in Qatar next month, the draw for qualifying for Euro 2024 took place this week and remains a decent football betting market.
In qualifying, 54 teams will participate. There are six five-team groups (A-G) and four six-team groupings.
The qualifying games will begin on March 23-25, 2023.
Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, and Cyprus are in Group A.
Scotland must qualify from Group A, which includes not only Spain but also Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland’s Norway at the World Cup Euro. If the Tartan Army wants to make it to Germany, they will need to win against Cyprus, a team that their manager, Steve Clarke, has previously defeated twice.
“It will be competitive.” There are five strong teams, and we aspire to be the best.”
“Cyprus was my first game as head coach, therefore I have fond recollections of it.” The games have not yet been won. You must go there, and you must be competitive. We believe we are confident enough to attempt to extend it to the groups at the World Cup Euro.” Clarke said.
Favorites in the group Spain has three times won the competition (1964, 2008 and 2012).
Group B consists of the Netherlands, France, the Republic of Ireland, Greece, and Gibraltar.
After being drawn against heavyweights France and the Netherlands at the World Cup Euro, the Republic of Ireland has an uphill battle to qualify. France boasts a star-studded squad, featuring Kylian Mbappe, while the Netherlands are ranked eighth in Fifa, with Frenkie de Jong and Virgil van Dijk among their ranks. One ray of hope for the Irish is that the Irish won four points the previous time the Netherlands and Ireland met in World Cup qualification in 2002.
Group C consists of Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Malta.
Italy defeated England in the previous final at Wembley Stadium, winning 1-0. They recently met in the Nations League on World Cup Euro. The Italians also won the game, relegating England to the second division. In 1968, the Italians also won the tournament.
Ukraine is expected to be crucial in determining who advances from the group. They have only lost five of their past 21 games at World Cup Euro betting. However, one of those defeats came at the hands of England (4-0). N Macedonia and Malta are almost certainly the group’s whipping boys.
Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Turkey, and Latvia comprise Group D.
This group seems to be a clear shootout between Croatia and Wales, with both expected to qualify. Turkey, who advanced to the Nations League after winning their group, might provide a challenge.
